I found a recipe for pecan praline cookies on Cooking on the Side. I love pecans, and the image of these delicate little cookies decorated with pecans in the middle really caught my eye.
When I finally got a chance to make these cookies, I couldn't believe how simple they were! And so few ingredients to assemble. Not even an egg is needed. The hardest part in making these cookies was having to let the dough set in the fridge.
The cookies are light, buttery, and the pecan half on top compliments the cookie perfectly. Tastes a bit like butter pecan ice cream.
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup pecan halves
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cream together butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Mix well. Chill dough 30 minutes.
3. Form dough into 1-inch diameter round balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Place a pecan half in the center of each ball. Press down lightly. Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Your cookies came out great! Isn't that a great recipe?

It is a great recipe! Thanks for sharing it! I need to look at recipes on packages more often. I rarely do.
